Opportunities to join GRI’s Global Sustainability Standards Board and Due Process Oversight Committee

Nominations are being welcomed for membership of two bodies that are critical to the success of the GRI Standards – the world’s most trusted and widely used sustainability reporting framework.

GRI is seeking new members for the Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB), the governance body that operates independently of the GRI Secretariat with sole responsibility for the setting and development of the GRI Standards.

The GSSB includes members with a broad range of expertise. The current round of membership recruitment is looking for applicants with practical knowledge and experience of sustainability reporting and an understanding of its broader context.

Nominations are also open for two individuals of high integrity and reputation to join the Due Process Oversight Committee (DPOC). Applicants should have a strong interest in and knowledge of international issues related to sustainability reporting.

The primary focus of the DPOC is ensuring the integrity of all activities related to the setting of the GRI Standards, with the aim of increasing public and stakeholder confidence.

See below for full details on how to apply, the nomination process and requirements of each role – including time commitment and selection process:

For both the GSSB and DPOC, applications are open until 30 June. Appointments will be for three-year terms, which will commence from 1 January 2020.
