By launching an Arabic translation of the GRI Standards, GRI aims to make sustainability reporting more accessible to companies who report in Arabic. GRI also hope to see an acceleration of disclosing sustainability information among companies in the region.

GRI wants to thank their sponsors Zamzam Society for Charitable and Voluntary Health Services, and Saad and Abdul Aziz Al-Mousa Endowment — as well as Sustainability Excellence for facilitating the translation.

GRI are most grateful for their peer reviewers who have made sure that the Arabic GRI Standards are of high quality and usability to reporters. The members of the team were: Dima Maaytah, Senior Corporate Sustainability Advisor, Sustainable Mindz, United Arab Emirates; Khulood Hindiyeh, Head of Sustainability Department, Blue LLC (member of Alserkal Group), Sustainability Trainer & Consultant, United Arab Emirates; and Mohammad Jebreel, Sustainability and Social Investment Expert, Sustainable Square, United Arab Emirates.
